Blogging has finally made it big, they’ve made a television show about it. There’s a new show out on the CW called Gossip Girl where a girl blogs about the lives she observes. Basically, and obviously, she watches her neighbors and blogs about them like a gossip queen. The story narrated by Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, Pulse) and the show is from the same creator as the over-popular ‘The O.C.” - so you know it’s going to be an instant hit. I just hope it doesn’t end up giving blogging a bad name.

The show seems pretty interesting, I may pop it on just to see if it can live up to the hype. I’m not big on gossip and drama, but when they make a show about something I do every day I have to admit, I’m curious. I haven’t ever heard of any of the other actors in it, but that’s not saying much. I don’t get too heavy into TV because I value my sanity, I usually just watch TV for *maybe* 20 minutes a day. Let’s see if this show can hold my interest for an entire hour.

Check it out. Gossip Girl on The CW starts Wednesday, September 19.

Since the switch from WB to CW, I haven’t watched any of their shows. I occasionally watch the channel when Reba comes on, but none of the new stuff.

On the note that it might give blogging a bad rap, well, part of blogging is like that. The part where a thirteen year-old is complaining about her poor life and how everyone is out to get her. We’ve all been there and sometimes I forget how I used to be that way, too. The other part of the blogging world writes about other things, like blogging, finance, etc.

I do find it amusing when “IRL” people talk about their blogs sometimes. I’m like…WTF you know how to turn a computer on? I sometimes forget that more of the world is becoming tech-savvy and I’m not the only one in my school who knows how to make a website.

    2. You don’t even have to be tech savvy to have a website, it’s kinda scary.

I was at a meeting for FORS (http://f-o-r-s.com) the other day and the lady is like ‘I could make a MySpace’. While it’s a good idea because of the popularity, it’s sad that it’s come to that.
