I have 2 sites that I have strongly considered moving to dedicated hosting with. I have a commonly used site (community forum) and a fairly small wordpress blog. As I doubt I would be able to cover the costs as yet (I dont really make much online revenue) I am yet to actually jump onboard with the idea.

It's something I would love to do in the future. If you have the funds, I recommend you go for it. My shared hosing goes down too often to others abusing the bandwidth and getting spammed.

400? Do you know anything about the stats of the server?

If nothing else, you could at least move to a company that doesn't oversell their services.

Well I also thought of going on dedicated server as you thought but the problem is my partner is not willing to go . As the shared server I am using now is hosting more than 400 sites (According to a site's report) my site's load time is considerably reduced .. I might be thinking it and pursuing my partner to go on for a dedicated hosting not including any firewall stuff and all that , so that our site gets its IP and quick load time as well.
