One of the best ways of keeping your visitors regular is updating! Believe it or not it works! I personally tend to visit sites that are updated more frequently than others. You get more chances of comments if your updated frequently and people come back and know there will be something new next time they visit.

One of the worst things is when I goto a site and a few days later I visit that site again and nothing new is up there. Their site is still the same they haven’t anything to offer me. I find it boring and I frequent less and less, then I do not go at all. On my BlogRoll Jenn is one of the most frequent updaters I know and I visit her site 3-4 times a day just to see if there is anything new. If she had an RSS feed I’d join it. She also has a very popular site and over 150 blogs link to her!

Granted some of her posts are Pay Per Posts but thats fine.
If you are a PPP’er Let the reader know and put some kind of image or warning and then put the paid post under a “more” extension. It helps the readers weed through while still making you money. Thats a great way of still doing it. Just title it accordingly and if it is somethign they are interested in then they will read about it! Give them the choice! You’ll find you have more visitors reading the more than not.
