I have signed up with BurstMedia. They will be doing all the advertising with my website, the revenue I make will pay for webhosting, renewal of domains, advertising of this website and contest prizes.

I am testing them out and seeing how they work. So far so good, I just hope they are better than adbrite and bidvertiser.

As you will see the 2 ads on the sidebar are SURVEY please take them, so Burst can get all the useful information on targeting ads that actually are relevant to you guys!

As many of you know I am not so much fond of the publishers adsense but I am going to try to do the Adwords for Advertisers. I’ve started very low because I am not a millionaire. I have 3 ads in rotation which are TheBlogWorld.net, Namenova.com and Templatescene.com

I have put them in rotation and I’m going to tell you how well I do and give you the complete lowdown of an average joe’s experience. I put 10 dollars in but to sign up it was a $5 dollar charge so right now my balance is 5 dollars. I do prepay make it easier.

I know a lot of you know how much I dislike it but, My newest project TemplateScene needs promotion, and I figured this is cheap and easy. I’ll be checking into various other paying promotions but that are also built for people who are on low funds. I haven’t gotten paid for my consulting so I cant exactly put in the amount of money in the promotion department I would like to for my websites.

      Namenova
I’ve never had to, its always promoted itself. However for my readers sake I am taking a risk! I’m going to start trying to pay for advertising and see if it really makes a difference!

I apologize for my original post the typo read Adsense.

I’ve been working really hard on raising my technorati, and alexa score. As everyone whose been keeping an eyeball on it I’ve been doing really well I’m currently in the 84,000 and rising on technorati and 600,000 on Alexa in less then 2 weeks since trying to boost my Alexa! I’m doing everything I can but to let you know what I’ve been doing here are some steps I will be taking to improve my Page Rank!

        - Archive Individual Posts with a wordpress plugin - currently searching for one until then i’m doing (#2)

        - Outside Related links with link optimizer — installed and working…semi..

        - Comment Subscribe Comment Subscription - status unknown as of yet

        - Link a lot - and try to attract links .. when I do research on the web I found I hate hundreds of bookmarks so I am just going to start linking them in my entries and seeing out that works

        - Tag cloud - installed not working!

        - Top commentators - up and running!

There is also this really great post I found digging around finding out if your blog is google indexed

I have to say I’m disappointed in the plugins I wish they were tested before introduced into the plugin directory, I will be updating the plugins and finding ones that work today!

You might also like to check out Google: Is your blog indexed? which also has some good tips on getting your blog indexed on Google.

As for raising my rankings I’ve been commenting a lot trying to boost promotion. I know the Thursday Thirteen helped a lot. I’ve been using an Alexa redirect version of my URL to promote it as per getting credit where credit is deserved~

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the guest entry written by Randa Clay. I think she did a marvelous job and I really felt that everyone responded nicely, and I offered her to guest blog at her convenience! I’m just very happy with it. I’ve emailed around and have requested other blogs I admire for them to guest write, and would love to have more variety on here.

I know I slacked off a bit on Saturday with no post and I apologize, I was a bit lazy getting obsessed with the xbox360 Rainbow 6 Vegas. That and working on my network which should be premiering soon. It’s been going well, and very smooth. I love how its turning out, there are a few tweaks which will work itself out as I expand and get money flow into it. However I think my premiere will come with a really nice contest to rumble up some activity!

I have been working on my consulting and I have to say part of being a new blogger is about content and expanding on your entries. Thats the hardest problem the woman I’m working with has, and I wanted to write about that today. I have a problem with that on my personal site but when it comes to a niche site I’ve always found it easier because there are so many resources but I utilize them.

I read 11+ feeds a day and I see what other people are doing and whats going on outside of my sphere and I take pieces from everyone I admire and I try to implement them. This is the first step. I don’t use an RSS feed place as others do, I prefer the XML in my browser top it is quicker to me and I stare at them to remind me to check them.

1 — Subscribe to RSS feeds.

Doing this you get to have the first hand update on the site, you get to see what people in the niche that is similar to you are writing, their writing styles what entries are popular and how they do what they do.

          2 — Review!

If your niche is about products you don’t necessarily have to write a long review but write what you have to say with substance. Granted I don’t read the entire entry if it is long but I check for key points. I’m sure there are others so don’t worry about writing a novel sum it up!

          3. Quote!

Sometimes you just don’t know what to say but it may be better to say less. Try quoting! If you haven’t much to say but you found a blog who did really well quote them and link back to them it not only promotes you but it will catch the eye of the original blogger and might get you some few extra hits :)
