I have to say I was not pleased with Adbrite or Bidvertiser. Who insisted I had no clicks. Which is completely fuddy dud in my opinion.

Having been accepted into the BurstMedia my clicks in the past few days have been 17 clicks. Unfortunately to all CPM’s but still, I’m getting clicks. I am getting more clicks with the new company I have. And even if I don’t get clicks I like the fact that I am also getting paid based on CPM’s. I haven’t made a lot but since having been with them just on my CPM’s I’ve made more money than the other two programs.

Some of you who are anti-google or banned from google from something stupid you may want to listen up. Just because your company says you’ve gotten no valid clicks doesn’t mean anything. Try another company. Keep trying and go through as many as I did since you will eventually was able to find a good program.

I like some people out there was not receiving credit for all my clicks. After inquiring with the company “all VALID clicks are showing” So you’re telling me having the ads on my site for weeks NO ONE was clicking any ads, and my ads were on 5 different sites. Don’t pull these stunts with me mister! I refuse to be jerked and so should you!

Some people don’t get clicks but thats why you should get CPM ads as well. Monetizing your site is a hard thing to do, you don’t just stick with one company and call it a day. Shop around try several and see which one readers like the most which one gets the most ad clicks. Readers are the most important people on your site. When you have better ads you will see a raise in your CTR, I know I did!

I’ve been emailed about some ideas that I give my clients when I consult, since I teach not only how to blog but how to create a blog/website for your business for less. I was asked what are some tips that I give my clients.

I am working with one client, he has a multi-business website needing to be set up, under one roof. This may prove difficult for some but I think its actually an interesting concept.
There are many ways you as a business owner can tackle this. You can have an entry way where it shows the multiple enter clicks for each different business which causes multiple layouts for one site, or you can pick a neutral site and have it branch off like wordpress does with different categories.

For a business you need a backbone name. For example if you run a business for computer work, home repairs, and knitting where they are very different from each other try to stick with a forename that will fit. Amanda’s computers Amanda’s house repairs and Amanda’s knitting techniques. Those names are silly but you get my drift.

From there you could get Amandacertified.com, getamanda.com, workwithamanda.com for example. You goto the site and you’ll see 3 pictures one of a computer one, of a house and one, of ball of yarn and needles. You click which one you’d like to visit. Which will bring you to 3 separate subdomains off of the main domain offering 3 different layouts.

Or you have a basic layout thats neutral for all of them. I suggest of course buying a template theme pre-made instead of customizing them to reduce cost, you’re less likely to see them twice since the web is that huge however it does happen. I of course suggest my website TemplateScene.com but there are others you can use.

I would suggest giving that entry option 3 separate layouts. Since your entrance page will be simple.

If you’re choosing to build one large site and having all the techniques on it this proves to be a little difficult. Choose a theme such as

It is also always good to think outside of the box with layouts. Take something thats not meant to be for the site and turn it into it. If you’re a female and you’re offering a variety of things you can take for example this layout for a dental site, spruce it up and turn it into something for your website
      Or

Change the set up around a bit, or have someone do that for you and you can create a unique site geared towards multiple business ventures.

I’ve been working on my consulting services and I decided to offer people an option to my customers make it easier and for everyone else. I now sell templates! I wanted to let everyone know because I hope those who wish to purchase templates go through me and offer my clients a little more variety.

I purchased one of the themes for my client, and it worked beautifully.

        TEMPLATESCENE.COM

If you like a theme and say hey I am going to buy it and maybe some more.. Sign up for the affiliate program you’ll make about 10 dollars off the layout!

It’s a new resource I’m offering. Once I make a certain amount of sales I can discount the price so I hope I make enough sales to offer a cheaper price! I offer an affiliate program, so you guys can make money as well!

Windows users: (I’m sorry I hopefully am getting a MAC soon so that I can find programs for my mac readers)

If you are a like me and have A LOT of email accounts dedicated to numerous sites and companies you have to manage, having a good pop3 program helps! I myself have over 25 email accounts I have to manage!

Since I goto work and they are cheap, and never give me anything including ANTIVIRUS! I have to find things to compensate. I was on the 3 month trial of MSOffice 2007, I loved it! Outlook 2007 is a great program but a little pricey, if you can afford it get it!

Another program for those of us who like FREE is Thunderbird by Mozilla. Like Firefox, Thunderbird has extension capability. My favourite and only extension to this day is Lightning it is the Sunbird for Thunderbird. Installing it is a little tricky, if you are a Firefox user!

Do not just click download, I had that problem and kept doing it over and over again! Right click save as.
From there open up Thunderbird >> Tools >> Extensions >> Install you find your lightning download and install it! You will have to reboot Thunderbird but it allows you to have the same style calender option as Outlook.

The only drawbacks is it doesn’t offer the days you have items written on in bold.

Now when you are setting up your pop3 if you’re like me and can be a little dense sometimes, I had numerous problems in the beginning with Thunderbird but once I figured it out it is a beautiful program. Sometimes it can go in steps 1,2,3,7,4,5, but once you have them down pat step 7 is easy! HAHA!

When you set up your pop3 you have to make sure you goto SMTP individually. If you don’t it’ll set the first pop3 SMTP as the default SMTP for all future POP3 accounts added into the program.
