I have to say I have been going around the web trying to find a lot of good tips for people to read, John Chow had a good one called The Seven Habits of Highly Successful Bloggers in this he talks about picking a post frequency, and sticking to it as one of the key points. I whole heartedly agree!

Even though my post frequency goes up and down depending on the time I can devote, I’ve started to post date my entries. The only problem with post dating is that spiders can index the posts that are in your drafts unfortunately. So please be careful with that. But It helps lets say you want to have a blog but you can only write once a week, well make 4 posts in a day and post date them to go live, which makes it easier for you to maintain that post level but not swarm readers with posts once a week.

Put your blog into every program imaginable and something will work. I just obtained a new blog Pajama Mommy this was a semi-personal site, that had a mommy niche possibility floating around it, however when Jenny didn’t want it anymore I scooped up the chance. I’ve owned this site for about four days and I’ve already made over $104 dollars off of it. However I did a lot of hard work

To give the site content, I back dated a lot of posts. Reason being was that I wanted to give the site a lot of content, and since it is helping mommies with their blogs I used a lot of the blog world posts, so it wasn’t like I was writing tons of new articles I was just recycling.

I built a directory and customized the layout. (this took about an hour) For the directory I posted about it on message boards offered to add the links into the directory myself they just have to tell me their section give me a brief description, and put the reciprocal link on their site before asking me to put it in the directory. Now here is the kicker, instead of having them link to the directory I had them link to the main site, this boosts technorati ratings, offers visitors a chance to see hey this isn’t just a directory but a whole community, and allows more access for viewers.

I put the site in sponsored review, and review me and took even the small ones. (some on accident)I applied for EVERY single review. I’ve been notified that they declined on some. But the fact is I’m getting accepted to most of them. I said I want my reviews to be 100 dollars. The site has a decent alexa ranking, its a PR 6 and technorati is pretty good. I think I deserve 100 dollars for my review, I may not get it always but I am sticking to it. The over all of the site I believe 100 dollars isn’t asking for too much.

I haven’t received any Review me ads accept one I took for $5 dollars (I need more reviews in my sections so I can have something to show people) But from sponsoredreview.com I’ve made $45.50 in a matter of 2 days.

I joined Smorty.com for both theblogworld.net and pjmommy.com for pjmommy its already made me $33 for theblogworld I’m pickier about the posts and I’ve only made $18

I joined both sites into text-link-ads. The Blog World is on sale for ads for $15 in TLA, and PJMommy are worth $65 (there is a 2 page rank difference and a huge difference in alexa so thats why!) I’ve already sold one ad on pjmommy. Since it wasn’t at the beginning of the month and it was a bulk buyer because of that I’ve only made $21.18.

    Totaling for one blog $104.68

Combination of both blogs including the consulting jobs: $803.74

Now, I’ve added more ads around this site because I am testing out areas for optimizing ad exposure. Please let me know which ones you find annoying, or if there is an ad rotating that offends you, as I accepted them but haven’t sat down to see whats where. I have attempted to go with bidvertiser once more, I am trying to make the minimal and get out of it! (or if it goes well maybe I’ll stay) But so far it isn’t worth anything to me. I’ve made a total of $2.82 with it. That was with 11 clicks. So it is pathetically low.

Now I’ll give you totals each month some months are worse than others but I’m being honest about what I’ve made!
For the months of April-May I’ve made a total of: $1,527.74 so far but the number will continue to rise!
(this number includes my other ventures too)

I have been in the process of building a store for many years. I’ve gone through ideas of what I want to sell or what I want from a store and my Fiance is trying to build an online skate shop. I was doing a lot of research for this for him and figuring out the best programs and one of those programs I wanted to let you guys know about was Ashop shopping cart software

It is an Australian based shopping cart program which lets you create your shopping cart through their servers

Which means all you have to do is pay one place, instead of purchasing a shopping cart, finding a webhost making sure the shopping cart is compatible and then installing it. This makes the process a lot simpler.

Their smallest plan is $69 a month they offer a 10 day free trial you can store up to 500 items in your store. Its a 50mb a month of space and 5gb of bandwidth.
Which some people think thats only a little? But if its a new store you don’t really need much more space than that.

But some people like to sell their own goods off their blog as a way to monetize and this is a great way to do it, sell your own mugs, t-shirts etc. Or if you’re a DIY’r like other people I know it makes it a lot easier and really professional look!

Ashop shopping cart software check it out!

Do you wanna Advertise on blogs? Then goto Smorty Or do you want to blog for money?

If you are one of the many people who do pay per posting, there is a new service out. It is called Smorty.

You need the blog for 3 months, you get paid weekly. The campaigns aren’t as high as of yet like other services but the fact that you get paid weekly instead of 30 days from the post is amazing. However, like the other places your posts amount paid depends on your PR , previous posts etc. You can make up to $100 per post. I like my money instantly. I hate having to wait 30 days for a 3 dollar post :| But for bloggers looking to monetize their blog. Smorty is a great opportunity. You don’t have to do all the hassle like with other programs. What they have to write about is a little better and more free flowing.

And for advertisers its a really great service too! It’s a new service so its a little cheaper to advertise, but its a really good new service. The set up is simple and convenient and bloggers can write about you and link back to you. So not only are you getting advertisement for cheap but it increases or PR and Technorati if you keep track of that for your business.

        Smorty blog for money!

There are a lot of businesses, and or niches who have problems promoting a new website business locally for cheap to free, and I say have fun because it is hard. Having a specific target market is also harder!

Buying a magnetic sticker to put on your car or bumper stickers doesn’t help since you cant stop the person and ask them “Hey can I buy some Mary Kay lipstick?” when they are doing 65 down a main road can you?

Well what a lot of people don’t know and I didn’t know until recently was newspapers have leftover ad space each edition, or almost each addition that they need to fill up and they will sell at dirt dirt cheap. It gets your name in the paper and saves you some money.

Putting flyers around the neighborhood is all fine and dandy and going through the phone book from A-Z is good too but its harder. Going to local businesses such as a real estate company and saying hey, you can offer your listings to be a little more creative then the regular website. I can design a few templates for you and do a whole website set up and they can have a more customized feel to the site, or each house could get its own website
          123cherrylane.com

For people wanting more information, some real estate agents will bite at the chance. I know I was offered this option in the long run from a agency who wanted to do something similar.

But you need an actual working portfolio. Even if you setup basic “faux” sites just to run into it and take screen captures, but you really need working models in your portfolio. So make up a few fake companies and put them up even if they are subdomains off your site people are more apt to buy if they can see how it works.

Soho Quest is a great new resource for people!
