A very basic need for the pro blogger, or any blogger, is webhosting. You need somewhere to put your blog that has stability. Every moment your site is down could be costing you in advertising fees, so you need to make sure you have a host that will stay up as much as possible. The better hosting companies usually cost a bit more, so it’s helpful to look around online for discounts or coupons offered through other websites.

Deal Locker has coupons and promo codes for many websites, including a few hosting companies. You can even find a few for my company, E-Starr. Or maybe you’re in the market for a new computer, I know I am. You’ll even find some Dell coupons as well. And while you’re sitting there working so very hard writing up wonderful reviews and finding good placement for your adverts, order some pizza from Papa John’s. They have plenty of big name websites and smaller ones, too. You can probably find almost anything you’re looking for.

To make sure you always get the best deal, you can install their coupon bookmarklet to your website. When you travel to a site and you’re about to buy something, click on the button. It will instantly show you any coupons available for that website. Never pay full price again!

Their shopping tips and coupon blog is another way to help you save even more. This site is like your own personal shopping consultant. Visit the blog for ideas like back to school shopping and for deals you might not otherwise know of, like the free Orange Julius samples. Wish I’d known about that one, it just ended today! I’ve never tried Orange Julius but I’ve always wanted to. I’ve bookmarked their Store Giveaways category because it’s just awesome.

Do you remember when Amanda posted about the big expensive car she wanted to get with her earnings as a pro blogger? I can’t remember what kind of car it was, but it wasn’t a Volkswagen, and that’s the only kind of car I ever wanted.

I drive a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta 1.8T. I love this car almost as much as I love myself (no ego, just pretty good self esteem). The Jetta has been my dream car since I was 12 and when I finally got a chance to buy one, I jumped at it. I probably paid too much, but oh well. My car will be paid off in 3 months due to me paying over the minimum every month since I got it.

If you’re in the UK there’s a great site, VCars, where you can search the country for your favorite used car. Used cars are wonderful because they enable you to get the card you want without paying the hefty price tag. My theory is, let someone else take the hit financially. If I ever make the kind of money I’m where I can trade up, my first choice would be this car, the Audi A4 Cabriolet. This site has a lot of great cars with photos and information.

If you’re not from the UK, this site has some cool stuff for you anyway. They have motoring news, for those who can’t get enough of cars, and some top quality supercar wallpapers and screen savers for your computer. I know there are a lot of screen saver sites out there but they’re almost always poor quality or for the lower resolutions. These go up to 1280×1024, which is probably the most common right now.

I’ve put my hosting company, E-Starr, into the Sponsored Reviews pool to generate a little buzz. My review isn’t worth much, but I’m hoping to get some word of mouth going. Doing this has given me an advertiser’s view of the system and I thought I would tell you a bit about it.

Just minutes after I set up my campaign I had a good 20 offers. Another half hour later, 20 more. It’s nice to see people are interested in helping me get my company out there. But if you look at my list of offers you’ll see that 95% of them list nothing more than their site names. Sponsored Reviews lists the rank and category next to it, and that’s about all there is to go on. But I need more info.

When you post your site name in Sponsored Reviews it will benefit you (and help the advertiser) if you tell a little about your site. They’ll want to know about your Page Rank, your Alexa, your Technorati, and your site’s participation level. Offer as much positive information as you can into your title, because no one’s looking at your description. When you have 300 offers to get through, the description is the last thing anyone’s going to look at.

So if you were an advertiser and I offered to review your site, you would see “The Blog World (PR4, -150k Alexa)” as the title of my site. This gives the advertiser the information they want upfront and gets the site seen faster than simply listing a title. Try it out, let me know if it helps you out any.

The internet has become a second home to many people, creating a new friend base and a new way to keep in touch with other people around the world. One such way is through buying and selling goods to people you might not otherwise be able to reach. To do this effectively without throwing your money away, you need a good online payment system.

          EPay

EPay is a new way to send and receive money online. Their service is comparable with larger and better known companies, such as Paypal. However, I don’t yet see websites online dedicated to bashing EPay, like another site we all know of. It’s a good way to send money for freelance work, advertising, or just sending some cash to a friend (my birthday’s coming up). And the debit card provides fast access to your cash any time.
