As you can see I’ve added a how much I’ve made per month and the total increases. The amount is how much I’ve made because or through these blogs. The total is high right now (not just from ads this includes consulting jobs I’ve taken because of TBW) So sometimes the total is higher one month then the other, I may have no consulting jobs that month :P But I try to be as accurate as possible to the penny and I keep it updated on a daily basis as I sell an ad, a review etc.

Thanx to sponsoredreview.com I’ve made over 200 dollars in one week and the number keeps going up. I’ve been able to get tons of great content, I’m very picky about the ads that go on theblogworld.net since with the page rank update I can be. PJMommy I’m able to take a broader spectrum of ads because it covers tons of topics, fashion, monetizing blogs, babys, family, dinner out, friends etc. There are tons of topics that are relating to the site. So I have more options than those who are just one niche. So please keep that in mind. But having multiple sites does help. If you are able to maintain one or more sites and one is a broad spectrum niche and the other is a strict niche it offers tons of opportunities for you to make money. Thats how I’ve managed to increase the amount of money I’ve made this month than last month.

So always start one blog figure out your niche and from there you can find other niches who will earn you more money too. It also helps to look out for domain sales that come with a clean page rank!

This is a sponsored review by My Content Website

This site is another one that teaches you how to monetize website(s). Like mine it utilizes a free layout, which there is nothing wrong against. I’ve actual admired the layout the used for a long time its just a hard layout to make your own, I am a big fan of the designer and use a different layout of hers on another website of mine.

The not in your face ads are nice, however if they are planning on optimizing their money making I would suggest at least throwing up an add between a few posts. But the overall site is nice its not too in your face they offer some good coupons and its nice over all feeling.

They talk aboutpaid blogging programs which you can find information all over the web. However the only thing they missed out that is when you use a paid blogging program that tells you not to disclose, you should disclose its a sponsored by that specific company at least. You can get into major trouble if you don’t So everyone watch out for that.

The great thing is they also focus on low traffic websites, which is nice since a lot of other websites don’t. They basically talk about when you get to this point you can do this or that. But what about when you’re waiting for that, a lot of the big places stopped focusing on it because they are big now and who the hell cares at this point right? Well its nice to see places still focus on monetizing monetize low traffic websites

Over all the site is very useful. It has some ways to go they should talk about the laws and give a little more help but the site is useful and getting more useful every day. I don’t know how they earn money or how much they earn for their credit background but they at least work with companies that offer coupons in the meantime. An ‘About Me’ page would be nice, and more information about how they monetize and how much they’ve made for their authority on the subject. However I will take advantage of some of their tips for this site in the meantime. I’m always looking for ways to improve and they had some good ideas on the site.

I have to say I have been going around the web trying to find a lot of good tips for people to read, John Chow had a good one called The Seven Habits of Highly Successful Bloggers in this he talks about picking a post frequency, and sticking to it as one of the key points. I whole heartedly agree!

Even though my post frequency goes up and down depending on the time I can devote, I’ve started to post date my entries. The only problem with post dating is that spiders can index the posts that are in your drafts unfortunately. So please be careful with that. But It helps lets say you want to have a blog but you can only write once a week, well make 4 posts in a day and post date them to go live, which makes it easier for you to maintain that post level but not swarm readers with posts once a week.

Put your blog into every program imaginable and something will work. I just obtained a new blog Pajama Mommy this was a semi-personal site, that had a mommy niche possibility floating around it, however when Jenny didn’t want it anymore I scooped up the chance. I’ve owned this site for about four days and I’ve already made over $104 dollars off of it. However I did a lot of hard work

To give the site content, I back dated a lot of posts. Reason being was that I wanted to give the site a lot of content, and since it is helping mommies with their blogs I used a lot of the blog world posts, so it wasn’t like I was writing tons of new articles I was just recycling.

I built a directory and customized the layout. (this took about an hour) For the directory I posted about it on message boards offered to add the links into the directory myself they just have to tell me their section give me a brief description, and put the reciprocal link on their site before asking me to put it in the directory. Now here is the kicker, instead of having them link to the directory I had them link to the main site, this boosts technorati ratings, offers visitors a chance to see hey this isn’t just a directory but a whole community, and allows more access for viewers.

I put the site in sponsored review, and review me and took even the small ones. (some on accident)I applied for EVERY single review. I’ve been notified that they declined on some. But the fact is I’m getting accepted to most of them. I said I want my reviews to be 100 dollars. The site has a decent alexa ranking, its a PR 6 and technorati is pretty good. I think I deserve 100 dollars for my review, I may not get it always but I am sticking to it. The over all of the site I believe 100 dollars isn’t asking for too much.

I haven’t received any Review me ads accept one I took for $5 dollars (I need more reviews in my sections so I can have something to show people) But from sponsoredreview.com I’ve made $45.50 in a matter of 2 days.

I joined Smorty.com for both theblogworld.net and pjmommy.com for pjmommy its already made me $33 for theblogworld I’m pickier about the posts and I’ve only made $18

I joined both sites into text-link-ads. The Blog World is on sale for ads for $15 in TLA, and PJMommy are worth $65 (there is a 2 page rank difference and a huge difference in alexa so thats why!) I’ve already sold one ad on pjmommy. Since it wasn’t at the beginning of the month and it was a bulk buyer because of that I’ve only made $21.18.

        Totaling for one blog $104.68

Combination of both blogs including the consulting jobs: $803.74

Now, I’ve added more ads around this site because I am testing out areas for optimizing ad exposure. Please let me know which ones you find annoying, or if there is an ad rotating that offends you, as I accepted them but haven’t sat down to see whats where. I have attempted to go with bidvertiser once more, I am trying to make the minimal and get out of it! (or if it goes well maybe I’ll stay) But so far it isn’t worth anything to me. I’ve made a total of $2.82 with it. That was with 11 clicks. So it is pathetically low.

Now I’ll give you totals each month some months are worse than others but I’m being honest about what I’ve made!
For the months of April-May I’ve made a total of: $1,527.74 so far but the number will continue to rise!
(this number includes my other ventures too)

I’ve been tagged by George Manty about a meme on why I blog.

I am to list 5 reasons why I blog so here it goes!

          1. I enjoy it! - I enjoy blogging, I like finding things to take about on the website, I like feeling people care enough to read what I have to say. I’m a faux celebrity!

          2. the money is starting to get good - I really don’t blog for the money but its nice when the money actually starts showing up right? From consulting b/c of this blog I’ve made 650 dollars. Ads I’ve made about um. $5 (because of the fact that erm lets see most of the companies sucked until I joined burst :D ) Sponsored posts. 75$ of my cut on reviewed posts. (I just got into the programs sue me!) so since owning this blog and now Pajama Mommy i’ve made $730 dollars.

          3. Learning
          - I get to learn new things every day. I also get to the consulting, which I have to learn new ways of marketing and I love to learn. I’m thinking about going back to school and getting some kind of degree in it, so I will need to revert back to #2 before I do!

          4. Friends
          - I have made some of the best friends because of my blog, and I tend to prefer them over my offline friends since I really don’t have many since the ones I’ve made suck.

          5. Satisfaction
          - When people say they know who I am from what I’ve made, or something I did helped them its really satisfying to know I did that.

I’ve tagged Jenny, Amy, Jessica, Ponn
