SponsoredReview launched! I just got my little email about it. I’m not 100% pleased with how they rate how much money you get. I personally like the style of PayPerPost better but what can I say?
I set up my other site through the process it has minimal hits because I’m still in the process of making it bigger. I was given that my ratings allow me $6.50 per post. I was like alright.
I ran the site just to see a popular website how much it would make, if ProBlogger.NET decided to accept paid postings Darren would stand to make approximately $162.50 a post. He could charge $250+ dollars per review. So if you have minimal traffic I would hold up till your alexa, technorati, yahoo etc.. are raised.

I’m in the pending approval section now and I’ll let you know whats going on if I get approved with my dismal ratings on my other website.

Edit// I’ve been approved and I put my bid in one some ads I’m just waiting to hear back from the advertiser.

Speaking of Pay Per Post I’m not to pleased with Blogsvertise…

I’ve decided to write a litte expose on the company that hosts my website (E-Starr) because it really is that good.

Their smallest shared package offers 200mb space and 8,000mb bandwidth for $5 per month (or $60/yr) and you can get a free domain with any yearly hosting purchase. If you’re looking for something with multiple accounts, their reseller packages start as low as $15 per month ($180/yr) with 1500mb space and 30,000mb bandwidth. That free domain thing goes for resellers, too.

The best thing about E-Starr is that you’re guaranteed there will be no oversold servers, like those places that give you 20GB space for $5-10 a month. That could barely make a server bill. The 24 hour service is great and you don’t have multiple people answering your tickets asking the same questions the previous techs did. You get one person who sticks with you until your issue is resolved. The phone support actually connects you to a human being as well, without having to know some secret EXT number to get to them. My favorite part about E-Starr is the personal service they provide to not just me, but all clients; and knowing that I will be treat just as well as the larger clients.

So I come online today and what do I see 17 messages gleefully awaiting my approval! Isn’t it always fun to think you’re much more famous then you are? I know I enjoyed it. This was of course until it dawned on me that oh my goodness I have automatic approval on.. strange?
I go in and find 17 spam messages and more coming in! I thought this was insane so I said fine fine fine I will get a spam blocker and I have to say I did the Akismet as everyone else was making such a fuss about. I got my API since I can get the free one as I do not make $500+ a month on my blogs. Sadly :( I will soon though it is my goal! It blocked a total of 32 messages of spam today! I couldn’t believe it.
I am not fond of having to sign up through wordpress.com for a username. I understand their point of it. But it was painless and I got my API key within 2 minutes and to install it was painless as it was already installed. You just copy and paste and click activate and I have to say I’m not looking back. Its a great tool.
